Looking for an action-packed day in the Dominican Republic’s rivers and treetops? Our Ziplines & Waterfalls combo tour is perfect for those who are reasonably fit and healthy. This tour includes a visit to the famous 27 Waterfalls of Damajagua, where you’ll explore 7 of these stunning cascades. For a more extensive experience, check out our other options to visit 12 or all 27 waterfalls.

Your adventure begins with a short 25-minute drive from Amber Cove to the base of the waterfalls. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by professional guides who will provide a safety briefing and equip you with helmets and life jackets. We recommend wearing your swimwear under your clothing, as you will get wet during the tour.

• Waterfall Trek:

  Start with a 30-minute hike up the mountain trail, crossing the Damajagua River and taking in the lush tropical jungle around you. Once you reach the top, you’ll descend through 7 waterfalls, jumping, swimming, sliding, and wading through crystal-clear pools. The experience is both exhilarating and refreshing, making it a highlight of your day.

• Lunch:

  After your waterfall adventure, enjoy a delicious Dominican-style buffet at the base. The meal includes local dishes and soft drinks or rum, all included in the price.

• Ziplining:

  Next, hop back into air-conditioned transport for a short drive to the zipline park. Here, you’ll fly through the air on eight ACCT-certified ziplines, covering over 1.5 miles. This thrilling experience is suitable for all, including small children who can zipline with an adult. We’ll provide water to keep you refreshed during the activity.

Port Pickup Information

Meeting Point: We’ll pick you up at the main entrance of the terminal on the road. As an independent tour provider, cruise lines do not allow pickups inside the terminal. After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation receipt with detailed instructions and a map to help you find the meeting point. We depart 45 minutes after the ship docks, so allow 12-15 minutes to walk from the ship to the meeting point.

What to Bring

• For Waterfalls:

  Wear swimwear under a t-shirt and shorts for protection on the slides. Running shoes that can get wet are recommended. You can rent shoes on-site, but your own will be more comfortable. Bring a towel, a change of dry clothes, and footwear for after the tour. If you bring a camera, ensure it’s waterproof, or opt for our photo and video service, available for purchase.

• For Ziplines:

  Closed-toe shoes are required (no flip-flops or sandals). Wear shorts or pants (no skirts).

Who Can Go

• Fitness Requirements:

  This tour is for those in good physical condition and confident swimmers. The hike to the falls and the deep water in the pools require a reasonable level of fitness.

• Age & Weight Restrictions:

  Participants must be over 8 years old. The maximum weight is 275 lbs for the waterfalls and 260 lbs for the ziplines. The maximum waist size for ziplining is 44 inches/130 cm, and the maximum leg circumference is 31 inches/80 cm.

• Health Restrictions:

  The tour is not suitable for pregnant women, individuals with recent surgery, back or neck problems, heart conditions, knee problems, or those taking medication that may impair them physically or mentally.

If there’s a slight delay and the tour can still proceed, we may shorten the lunch break to ensure you enjoy the full experience and return to the ship on time.
